Using Verizon HTC Touch Pro or HD in Europe

I will be traveling to Europe next month and have in the past left my XV6800 home as verizon is not compatable over in Europe. Are any of the newer phones more Europe friendly?

Blackberry Storm is GSM compatable. That is the only Verizon smart phone I know of that can.

Verizon just released the Samsung Saga (i770) with GSM radio built in. It comes with a Verizon sim card. It has wm 6.1, touchscreen, with external keyboard, imagine a Blackjack w/ a touchscreen.

Verizon may also be releasing soon a Motorola Q with GSM capabilities.
