IMAP sub-folders

I use my Apache (with WM6.1) to connect to our company's Zimbra server using ActiveSync.

I also use an IMAP account to sync with my GMail for Domains. Although I can "sync" sub-folders (or in this case GMail labels), the mail program doesn't alert me to new mail.

I missed a moderately important message from a family member because I was unaware a new message had arrived in my "Family" folder.

Does anyone know if you can enable alerts for sub-folders?

Thanks,
Doug Eubanks

Re: IMAP sub-folders

In a word no, but this might help.

Where you are running into trouble is your filters in Gmail. My guess is that you have the Family filter set to keep as new, but archive it so it doesn't go to your inbox. My suggestion would be to have that filter no archive, but still apply the label.

Unfortunately the new message notice only applies to the inbox...

Re: IMAP sub-folders

is this just for IMAP or for exchange as well? right now im using Gmail in the same fashion and have the same issue.

How would one suggest to MS that they fix this in either windows mobile 6.1 or 7?

Re: IMAP sub-folders

In Exchange you can sync any folders that are in your mailbox, but not any that are contained within your PST file (if you have one).

As for MS...I would tell them to investigate it!

Try FlexMail. It works fine for me doing the same thing
