But yeah, streaming used to be against their terms, (I did it anyways). But it is allowd, just not supported.

Ive got the $30 plan and use it all the time. I do stream vids and clips. I dont teather though because my laptops are at home and ive got a Linksys setup. Ive never seen a real cap either and it really doesnt take much at all to accumlate a lot of data usage.

Tell me about. When I first got my plan I did way over 5 gigs.

Yes there is a cap,The shop i worked for reached it on several data plans.they diasble your account then e-mail you. all we had to do was pay a 25.00 reconnect fee to have it hooked back up,I want to say it was a 6 gig transfer per month.I did it by downloading music from my server i just let it run over night..

Wrong, they removed the cap, unless you're teathering. On a mobile phone they took off those gay rules. It was 5 gigs a month.

OK so let me be absolutely clear about this - has anyone got them to hook you up on a 6700? Or do you still have to pull the switch to better phone then switch back?

I don't think anyone has... the only way to do it would be to clone the ESN of a newer phone. They can't put it on a phone that shows as something else in their policy.

The other thing they could do is give you the 45 data plan and credit you the difference back each month.

oh yeah, right, I have never, let me make thisclear - NEVER got any kind of concession from vzw - apparently they don'tlike me - even though I have been a customer over 6 years now (with three lines) - they did however tell me that they would love for me to move to their new plan - which gets me LESS minutes for the same money - that was one of the requirements they had before talking about data plans - I generally hang up in disgust annoyance whenever I talk to them.........:angry7:

I hang up all the time. When I try to get a replacment those southern women reps love to look at the past notes on my account that indicates I didn't buy my first 6700 from them. They then ask where I bought my 6800 from. I always hang up. Then they call back and I change my voice and talk to them in Spanish :)

I called tech suport the other day while my 6700 was in the mail on its way to my house. I told them I was switching from my flip phone to the 6700 and was wondering what internet plans were available. they told me there was basically 4 plans: pay as you go, a ?10 mb? plan, the $29.99 plan and the $44 plan. But a day later when I got the phone and tried to activate it I was told I only could choose the pay as you go or $44 plan. They said the older phones connected to a different server or connected in a different way. Needless to say I was pissed, $44 is a huge ripp off!
