A media client that can actually stream?
I've created a page that extract the NCAA's march madness on demand feeds and enables them to be played in whatever player you want.
http://www1.cs.columbia.edu/~spotter/ncaa/ncaa.cgi however, while it works great in windows media player on windows and in vlc on both windows and linux, it doesn't work at all on my mogul w/ both windows media or core player. windows media just doesn't do anything, while core player can't handle the url's in the file. anyone have any ideas of a player that I could use? thanks. |

Re: A media client that can actually stream?
couldn't find a client that worked, so worked around it.
http://www1.cs.columbia.edu/~spotter/ncaa/ncaa-core.cgi works around it, fetches the mms url, and prints it and redirect it (redirect works fine in opera, but not pocket IE, so print it for copy/paste). It works decently over wifi on mogul, It pops in and out here and there, unsure why stream is only 32 kbps, so should be fine, but seems to work even better in kinoma on my treo 700p over evdo. (heck, even 1xRTT should be able to handle these streams). for some reason, pocket IE can't handle mms:// url's (i.e. href="mms://...."), opera on the other hand, handles them fine, as well as blazer on my 700p (launches kinoma w/o a problem). |
