Activating my phone without calling Sprint? (lazy me)

I want to activate my Touch. Either I can call up, get transferred 3 times, and spend 30 minutes of my life on the phone listening to elevator music or I can ask you guys

Last I remember, all I have to do is punch in a # code at the phone screen, then enter 2 phone numbers. Do I *have* to call up to get this phone activated?

edit: now I also remember giving them an ESN code, dammit... when will Sprint get SIM cards
