Notification
I've noticed that since using mail2web I don't get notification when new e-mails arrive. Is there anything I can do to correct this? I have my phone set so an alert will go off as new e-mails arrive, but it's not working. I have the identical setup for text and there are no issues with that.

haven't had any issues here, but note that if poutlook is open you will not receive any notifications of emails. ;)

That must be it. Thanks! I just setup the proxy address, too so now my outgoing addy is my sbcglobal not mail2web 8) Now if I could just get this damn activesync working on my work laptop I'd be all set.

have u tried the activsync.cab fix? worked like a charm here.

I have a Samsung IP-830w. I did try it though, just didn't work. It has to be something specific with this laptop. I had a desktop prior to this and I was able to get activesync to work. The same tips and tricks don't seem to be working on the laptop. It's a Dell Latitude D610 if that makes a difference.

u got me, try posting a ? in the ip830 forum maybe pzztgotbagz can help...

I posted this in that forum already and got no responses, but I figured it out! I knew it had to be something specific with this laptop. There are two firewalls; one I knew about and one I didn't. Windows Firewall was the one I knew about and had been tinkering with it since I got the laptop, but there is an AT&T Global Network firewall also that I never knew existed. I disabled that one and enabled the Windows firewall and all is well.

yeap firewalls can do that, along with antivirus and so on.....

for some reason I cannot sync contacts and calendar with the mail2web exchange and my work laptop. I was able to sync contacts and calendar with my home laptop and exchange, though. any idea why?
