Does The Mail2web Work With Hotmail Or Yahoo

If you can forward them to another address, it should. I don't think you can though, not 100% sure.

Mail 2 web

Is there something wrong with me or activesync or mail2web? I am trying to sync up and get my push email but I keep getting a "synchronization could not be completed support code: 0x80070057. What is the problem? Anybody?

how much data usage

Hi, im new to the forum. I was just curious how much data usage this exchange server setup uses. Lets say I wasnt going to even recieve any mail whats the typical usage data for keeping the connection open.

Pibe38 10-28-2007 04:40 AM

There's really no way of knowing. It depends on what other things you keep synchronized (contacts, tasks) and how many of them. Then on top of that, how much e-mail traffic you get.

Why are you worried about this?

Data usage

Well im with sasktel and for 4 megs of data its 25 dollars and 30 megs is 60 bucks. so i went with the 4 meg plan mainly cuase i think 30 megs for 60 is pricy. I am going to be starting a small based business and email on the go is always nice. Kinda thinking of just syncing emails probly get a few a day not alot but again i really dont want to go over the 4 meg.

one thing I wish I could do is find a cheaper data provider and just keep the voice with my local provider for service.

Pibe38 10-28-2007 05:12 PM

Wow that's really expensive!

Well you don't really need to have exchange open all the time. Heck, you don't even have to have set to push. You can set up Activesync to check every X minutes and there also schedule settings, so you can have the phone not check at night for example.

I would also set POutlook to download only headers, that way you minimize data transfer when downloading e-mail and you can choose what to download after the headers are on the device.

Thanks for the fast replys. I will have to set it up to only check during day mabey once a hr or somthing like that that should be under 4 megs a month. I can always stop push if I get to close to going over.

Does anyone know why it takes a really long time when you send an email from your phone? I have everything set up correctly and when I try to send an email from my phone, it takes forever to get to its destination. For example, I sent a test email from my phone to my work email 15 minutes ago and I still haven't gotten it. Any ideas?
