There is an aggregate tool that she can use. It will go to the other email account, get the email then push it to the device. Works pretty well, I have 2 POP3 accounts and my gmail that all work great.

2. Once you have signed up then take your ppc and go to start/programs/activsync/menu in the bottom left corner/ now select configure server

3. In the server address box put in mobile.exchange.mail2web.com and check the box that says this server requires and encrypted (SSL) connection.

4. Hit next in the user name box put your username@mail2web.com, password, and in the domain box put ad2. You can go to advanced to setup if u want it to replace item on device and an option for event logging. You don?t have to mess with these settings unless you want to.

5. Click next and select whatever you would like the device to sync with the exchange server. I sync everything cause if I?m out and about and I have troubles I can hard reset and sync my contacts, calendar, email, and tasks right on the spot.

6. Click finish, now go to menu/schedule/ in the peak and off peak boxes select as items arrive, now set the other setting to how you want.

7. You?re DONE! Enjoy your new direct push mail.

NOTE: I recommend this service for people that live in an EVDO coverage until they fix the pinging. Cause when in a 1x coverage area it pings the server every 60 seconds just to keep the connection alive. And if you?re in a nonEVDO area this will cause you to miss calls all the time. Hopefully they will fix this soon. Supposedly they are working on this.

I setup my account, i set my gmail to fwd. i send myself a test message to my gmail.com account, but i cannot figure out how I am notified on my phone that I have an email.

You need to get a mail2web account and set up push e-mail with that mail2web account on your device, just as instructed on the first post.

Then you set GMail to forward your messages to the mail2web account so that every time a message arrives to your GMail account, it will be forwared to your mail2web account and you will be notified through POutlook as soon as it is received on the mail2web account.

Did all that, but outlook is not showing the email. What is the connection that has to be made for outlook to populate the email? I do not see anywhere that Outlook was instructed to receive the emails.

That's why it's called Push e-mail. After you set up the server on Activesync on your device, new e-mails will get pushed to the device as they arrive.

If you send an e-mail to the mail2web account, does it arrive automatically to your device?

The emails show up in my mail2web live account on live.mail2web.com but not on my phone

That's odd. They should.

You sure you set it up correctly as explained on the first post? Not trying to imply anything, but that's exactly what I did and it works.

It has to be something on your device's configuration because if the messages are showing on Outlook Web Access and not on your device, then they are not being pushed to the device.

I just went back through and did it again and nothing. i sent a test to my email at mail2web.com and received it on their site, but not in my outlook on my phone

edit: okay that was weird, i did a test again, hit sync and all of them popped up. so i have to hit sync everytime?

edit2: nevermind, it just started working at random..o well it works and does what I want so sweet!

LOL

thanks

You need to set ActiveSync options to receive items as they arrive instead of manually.

That may be the culprit...
