I started to use it at one point but for some reason i didnt like it anymore and stopped using it i guess it was because i thought it drained my battery more or it was that its synced at every minute not when it actually got something at the server. so i started using it again and i really like it because with the other accounts(aol, yahoo, msn) you have to send and recieve constantly and i was starting to hate it. so i thank you for finding this. another thing does the direct push as items arrive kill the battery. i noticed yesterday it doesnt?

actually dp helps with battery life because unlike pop3 accounts that have to check every 15 or so even if there are no emails available.....where dp with as items arrive will only sync when a new email arrives thus saving battery life.

really? my phone always syncs. at first i thought it synced when it got mail. but when i first started to use it. it used to sync like every minute and it was on as items arrive thats when i stopped using it till the other day. but now i really like it. it doesnt sync that often as i thought. it sync like what i dont know once every hour but it does something because i will see the symbol at the top and check the time and see. i wonder if its because i have other things to be synced to the server(tasks, contacts, etc) thats why its doesnt sync only when i get email? which is rare. so i wanted it to only sync when i get email. is there a way to do that?

yea just open activsync go to menu/options/settings and only select email but it should b syncing every 15 it should only sync when email arrives. now it will ping the phone every so often...this is to keep the data connection alive.
