Uh... maybe b/c there are no drivers for the video chipset....
Basically this has been a big problem that just surfaced up recently. Heres the first link I found. http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2008/0...r-controversy/ And theres a bunch of threads on this forum about it too. |

No reason to compare.
There's really no comparison between the two. The PSP is designed as a game system while it does many other things FAIRLY well. (ever try to browse online with it?)
Remember that the cpu is not the only factor in determining how well a piece of hardware handles games. The PSP has dedicated hardware to handle the strain of modern gaming, like a graphics chip for example, that PPCs don't.

Thank you for your replies, i was aware f the driver issue and i guess it will be long until there are some good games for ppc. And then again, there is many cool 3D MIDlet games that run on ppc

Huh? Thats a java midlet manager. Im currently using the "intent Java Midlet manager" right now. And In your other thread you also talk about how you need to get the keys to work so you can play games... so how are you making any sense?
You said that you had some games that worked on the Touch, and you give me a link to that... |

First is that PPC's have cumbersome controls compared to a PSP.
Second, the Video Driver issue kills serious 3D games on the Qualcomm. And Finally.. The Developers... The Developers... The Developers... As it currently stands all truly Great games by the big studios are going to stick with a Gaming system (Console, Hand-held) or PC because of the fore-mentioned issues. There are Some good games out there however. |
