Virtual Memory for PPC [question]

I did a google search and turned up limited results:

so heres the question. On a pc you have the ability to utilize hard disk space to create virtual ram. To speed up process of applications and what not.

Is it possible to create a virtual ram drive on a storage card. say you have a 8gb storage card and want allocate 2gb or so to ram .. is this even possible, or is my thought process way off on this.

im wondering as well after readin those articles if some1 does know plz let us know cuz then we wouldnt really need 2 wait 4 htc 2 release an actual update 4 da ram problem 4 a while even if it doesnt need 2 b on a memory card just da device it self would b great
