i tried to upgrade my ppc got a screen saying somthing about linux boot now it wont do anything did i brick this thing or what

EDIT - i believe it has to be non-bootable to be considered "Bricked" your lucky as it looks like you simply have a hung rom.

What handset do you have?

It sounds like your in manual bootloader mode.

Do a hard reset and let us know if it boots.
