How to manually remove items from installed programs?

I'm on a Sprint Touch Pro2 with Energy ROM. I use Sprite Backup to backup and restore my PIM data. This works fine. However, it also restores some program settings and preferences, even before I reinstall them.

When I attempt to reinstall some programs, such as Kinoma Play and FingerKeyboard, the install fails.

When I go to Remove Programs, the uninstalls fail.

I've tried using CeRegistryEditor to find the where it's getting the fact that these programs are installed from, but can't find anything.

Does anyone know where the "Remove Programs" list is generated from?

Did you try deleting reg entries from:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SECURITY\AppInstall

If you are not comfy with the registry, take a look at an application such as MemMaker.

Re: How to manually remove items from installed programs?

im willing to bet you did a full backup... Big No-No!.. only back up the reg settings you need..

most of your apps should be on your storage card anyways, therefore the app data should be saved already and no need to even re-install any apps...
