saving email on a storage card

Guys,
I am trying to save email to my storage card to save space on my PPC6700, and am running into an issue. I looked at the registry hack that needs to be added where you create an entry for the Storage Card to get this working.. so, I have that setup and it is working with one problem.

When my phone starts up, it looks at this reg key, and since my storage card is not read at this time, it creates a folder called storage card, and then when it reads my storage card later, it names it storage card 2, breaking all the apps that I have stored in there.

I get around this by just deleting the new storage card folder on the device, and ejecting and re-inserting my SD Card. but, if I have to do this everytime I reset, this would get old real fast... so, am trying to see if any of you have figured a way around this one....
