Re: What will your next phone be?
So far, right now, HTC HD2 is only coming to T-Mobile (in late spring/early summer); but that exclusitivity could change any day between now and then. As for WinMo users all jumping to droid, simultaneously, not likely. Most of us will wait out the year with the TP2 (gladly) until news about Windows Mobile(Phone) 7 debuts, and see what hardware requirements it carries, what phones are being offered, then decide where WindowsPhone sits in the mobile arena.
'Course, this is all opinion, speculation and conjecture. But, I'm sure that's what you expected. This WinMo user, of nearly a decade, is quite comfy with my TP2. |

The Driod market looks promising, but I'll wait it out to see which direction it goes (still too new to jump ship IMO ), plus I don't want to give up my physical keyboard (I don't like the Moto Driod) so I'll wait until HTC brings out a Touch Pro 2 type of Droid phone. |

Re: What will your next phone be?
They have not made a phone yet that would make me want to replace my TP2. of course I had my Treo 700wx for almost 4 years. I am hoping I get alteast 3 to 4 years out of the TP2.

Re: What will your next phone be?
It looks like I'll be with the TP2 for a few years, and hopefully by then, there's a nice selection of Windows Mobile slates out there. I love mini versions of technology and I think by the time the slate market matures, it will truly be a "pocket PC".

Re: What will your next phone be?
The Droid/Moment, et cetera looking interesting; however, it is not there due to the lack of strong support for Word/Excel and related applications. Gotta have a keypad, though I rarely use it on my TP2; on the TP1 I never used the screen board.

Re: What will your next phone be?
Im gonna get another new Mogul as a spare....Everything I love about the phones in my sig and more....
1) Look and feel of Treo 800w with bigger screen 2) Slide out keyboard without the delay of the TP (TP also went back to main screen if you slid out during text) 3)Also liked that keys are hidden and not exposed as on Treos and Q but its still there when text message is too long for fingerboard 2 4) Ability to get new Moguls for 75-100 bucks and no upgrade burned 5) Lets not forget no Verizon mandated data plan, I use so little that pay-per-mb is cheaper for me when its usually 10-15 bucks compared to $30.... Just some of my observations that made my choice for me...

Re: What will your next phone be?
240x320 and 480x640. think about the res. 240 on a phone is clearer then 240 on a 50" tv. to go with a biger screan and drop the res i hate to leave my tp for anything. if i am going to go to a larger screen i don't want less res. i would like to see htc (big fan) to come out with a device that with a bigger screen has bigger res # and a slide out keyboard. having a titan with same size screen as my tp and find images way crisper, i feel it is redundant to get a bigger screen and have same res quality as a titan. thinking about the res is pix per sq inch. with that in mind jumping from fine res on small screen to a 5 blocks on a huge screen desn't mean crap to me because it has wm7. are we going back in time to dot matrix as we go forward in other advancedments?

Re: What will your next phone be?
With all the phones I`ve had, I have still never owned or used a BB....I may have to get one of the older ones just to say I have tried it....Was always weary of learning a new OS... |
