I've been reading a bit of late about unlocking phones and such for use with different SIMs; however, one thing I was curious about was whether a locked Verizon TP2 would work with a Vodafone SIM (given the Vzw SIM also says Vodafone).
While I suspected the outcome, I thought I would go ahead and do the test so I could post conclusively that a Vodafone SIM with a UK number is indeed rejected by the locked Vzw phone.
That said... I was still able to access the card and copy my UK address book from the card to my Vzw phone without any problem.
Also... Despite the fact the card is not accepted by the phone, the phone continues to work fine in CDMA mode (as expected).
Anyway, most of this was highly anticipated, but now it's been demonstrated.
