man... I dont know what did it but something I downloaded to try and fix my iphone messed my computer up and I had to wait 2 days for someone to come fix it..It was stuck in recovery mode and I couldnt restore....

While that was going on I went and bought another iPhone and got an extension on my exam that is STILL stuck on my HARDHEADED applePHONE which is what im calling it because the apple still wont GO AWAY!!! ....what to do now....????

now that's some bad luck.

I would try the things we came up with on a machine with XP.

Tried everything on XP..same results as windows 7..the most I can make happen out of anything is the blackrain screen pop up and stay stuck there

Wow that is so weird, I've never heard of this. We gotta get you out of recovery. you can see the common theme here is a combination of holding home, power, and trying to get blackra1n to boot it up. I can't seem to find another way, so what I want you to do is exhaust every combination of the aforementioned.

1) connect to pc, run blackra1n, when it hangs on the blackra1n screen do the power + home hold till you hear the USB connect ding, then let go, now hold power again to try to boot up.

2) (if 1 doesn't work), connect iPhone to PC, close iTunes, do the power + home dance without running blackra1n.

3) (if 1 and 2 don't work) run blackra1n, when it hangs close blackra1n, re-open blackra1n and run it again.

For blackrain to recognize the iphone i have to hold home and power until the connect to itunes screen comes up. Once it does this i run black rain. It gets stuck. If i attempt to run it again it doesnt notice it. so I have to hold power and home until connect to itunes appears again. I run it again. it stays stuck. no matter how long i hold the power button after this...it does nothing but remain on blackrain.


2) (if 1 doesn't work), connect iPhone to PC, close iTunes, do the power + home dance without running blackra1n. This make the apple start showing off again...appears for a few mins...goes away for a few secs..appears for a few mins..over and over and over until it goes dead.



3) (if 1 and 2 don't work) run blackra1n, when it hangs close blackra1n, re-open blackra1n and run it again.
I pretty much told went over this with the first soulution you asked me ta do....

im going crazy.. Literally

Theres no way I can get anything off of this phone..I paid for some apps...numbers...my status on imobsters that took me 7mths to get...anything?

when did you sync your phone last?

OK run that irecovery tool again

but use the command prompt and type

irecovery -s

then after the menu thing comes up type:

setenv auto-boot true
saveenv
/exit then do the home + Power reboot again
