Re: Bricked or what?

I just ran the program in command prompt. It said "no iphone connected" so make sure the iPhone is connected and in recovery mode (with the connect to itunes screen) then run it FROM COMMAND PROMPT - irecovery -s, then type the rest of what I showed then reboot.

I don't have an iPhone anymore so I can't test this atm (will get another iPhone when the 4G comes out)

Re: Bricked or what?

it says:

irecovery -s is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

Do a recovery in iTunes, since your running an official carrier it doesn't matter if you upgrade to 3.1.3.

After you restore/upgrade you can use spirit to jailbreak your iPhone.

I would suggest that you download and use auto shsh first to back up just in case.

this has been a long running saga, you may want to read thread from beginning.

Basically he has some sensitive data on his rig (numbers, notes etc..) that he does not want to lose, otherwise we would have flashed 3.1.2 ipsw and been done with it, but that erases your data, so I have been trying to get him out of recovery without flashing 3.1.2 or 3.1.3, if you have any more ideas let us know.
