OliveTree Bible Reader Public beta is active

I got a tweet today the announced the public beta for the Android version of the OliveTree Bible Reader! The have a build for Android version 2.0 and 1.6. They are hoping for a Android 1.5 build on Friday! To get the beta go to http://www.olivetree.com/m.

I emailed OliveTree in September about an Android version of there Bible Reader and if I have to re-purchase my Bibles. The response I got back was that are working on an Android version with a possible release in December or January. Also that there CURRENT plan was to make it so that you DO NOT have to re-purchase Bibles.

Re: OliveTree Bible Reader Public beta is active

I got a tweet from OliveTree saying that the beta of the BibleReader will support Android 1.5. The version that got loaded on my phone supports Android 1.6 (Donut).

I downloaded the version of the Reader that does not include a Bible. If you have an account with OliveTree, you can log on and download all Bibles you have purchased. Also, you can download free Bibles. All Bibles will be downloaded to your SD card.

Edit: I'm so glad that this beta is out! I can now stop carrying my Sprint Touch!
