Re: Touch Pro?
you have truly shown your true colors. resorting to name calling and not knowing what your talking about. way to go. to correct some of the items you have no clue about.
1. android is based off linux. 2. the idea was started by android INC then bought out by google then taken over by open handset alliance for development but google does still own the rights to it. 3. it is a open source program that anyone can design programs for and even mod/edit the code but there are still paid developers working on the project. Re: Touch Pro?
It would seem to me that as soon as the hero hits the streets, TP owners should be closer to an android solution. The Hero (from what I recall anywho) has very similar specs to the TP as far as innards go.

Re: Touch Pro?
The problem is reverse engineering htc's drivers.. The guys working on it know how to do it.. Android works just fine on the touch pro.. But using the touch pro's various radios, i believe the touch pad, and some sensors is a whole nother story... Htc could release the drivers but they dont have any financial gain for doing this because the phone was released working on the designed os.. And they may have patents and or proprietary driver code that may allow knock offs and legitimate competitors to get a leg up.. Even though htc didnt use it to its full potential the touch diamond and touch pros capactive touch pad with several buttons is somthing they wouldnt want copied..
