Android took 52% of US smartphone sale in april

It is reported that android took 51.7 percent of smartphone sales in April 2013.
But iOS and windows phone are growing faster than Android. iOS grew 2.3 percent from April 2012, and windows phone grew 1.8 percent. Android grew 1.4 percent during the same period.

Thanks for the useful information Nastu. On my view Android is becoming the most powerful mobile OS platform other than the rest in today's trend. If we analyze deeper the number of Android users are increasing day by day and growth is just tremendous in a short span of time.

Android is better than ios and windows. It is fast, so many free apps available in android. So many ultimate games(marble saga, subway surfer, temple run and many more) are almost free. You can get easy access to gmail, youtube,google plus and google. And cost of google phone is less compare to iphone.

People think Android has less opportunities for making money hence developers refrain from making apps for Android but the number of Android users are far more than iPhone and Windows phone users.
