I think its better to use paid services like Spotify. It something you can listen the music online. Also checkout Google Play Music.

You may download music via Google play store or Zedge. Both have a number of good song selections.

On my Windows phone I prefer Nokia Music, and on my Android one I just surf music sites with Opera mini browser, when I play song it gives me option to save on my phone.

I would recommend using*Audials software.I've been using it for some time to download music from Spotify,Napster,Deezer,Rick Dees........and enjoying music offline anytime and anywhere.
