Question Next generation of Android phone?

One key question that arose while searching for an upgrade phone is whether I should wait for a few months for the next-generation Android phone, as I should if I were to go for the iPhone.

When it comes to the release of the next generation anything (be it phone, OS, tablet, camera etc.), it is pretty much speculation. But at least is there reason to believe that the next generation Android phone is on the horizon?

Re: Next generation of Android phone?

Next Gen? Like dual cores you mean? The Atrix and LG Optimus 2X are here already. Galaxy S2...not so sure about.

I still like the galaxy S better (screen and multitouch are better and performance is about the same)

If it were my choice, would get the Galaxy class Android phone.

Re: Next generation of Android phone?

I was wondering the same thing. My upgrade comes up in June. I was wondering if the dual core phones are worth it yet? I heard that Motorola's first dual core phone was slower than a single core; of which I know that technology will get better but obviously it is still in the young stage and I am unsure if three months will be long enough to get the kinks worked out of the dual core processors yet.

I don't think its slower then a single core...you have to take account that Android OS does not yet support dual cores till honeycomb...or for cell phones speculation is Ice Cream..which should come out this year.
