Re: Did you switch from WM? What do you think?
I was tempted to install a pirated copy of Swypee, but did not. Now that I have the beta, I have no problem waiting for the real thing. The one I purchased did an ok job. I do lots of data entry and those free ones I tried had issues that were more than what I was interested in going with.

Re: Did you switch from WM? What do you think?
I was a wm user for 4 years and the switch had ups and downs. downside: I had to purchase a program called gsyncit to sync to outlook. does a fantastic job. The OS is not as configurable as WM.
On the flip side Android is stable as hell in comparison. No more battery pulls/soft reset. If you like lots of configs, I recommend buying tasker. You'll be more complete than wm could ever dream of with that app. Totally worth the 7 bux, and gsync was a must even for 20. with those apps paid for, you're phone is just as compatible as wm, but now for the positives. FAST.... no more laggy interface. Did I mention fast? right, a lot faster than WM. The app market is huge, not iphone huge, but still huge in its own respect. Android is a fast and reliable OS, that WM can only dream to be. It's like a mixture between reliability and speed of iphone, with customizations of WM. Best of both worlds. I dont miss the hard keyboard at all. Swype works very well, and the capacitive screen is about as good as the iphone's. I can type reasonably fast with this thing. The navigation voice action works much much better than it did on the TP2 with bing. |

Re: Did you switch from WM? What do you think?
Battery pulls? I have to reset (off/on) my device once a day to ensure Bluecrap continues to run properly. If not, then sometime during the day a call will come in, act like it is sent to the headset and nothing heard from the headset or speaker.

Re: Did you switch from WM? What do you think?
Yes, from the tp2 to the Evo. I am happy with the move. I feel there is so much development for this device that the possibilities are unlimited. I do not miss windows mobile because the Evo provides me the same experiences for the most part. Ability to use custom roms, flash various themed sense clocks and other third party themes, etc. It's a lot of fun.

Re: Did you switch from WM? What do you think?
My TP2 never gave me a bit of trouble. No resets, stalls, SOD, et cetera. It just plain worked. Never had to turn it off and never had a problem with the Bluetick implementation; wish I could say that with the Evo.
