Re: evo for us cellular??

Hey I appreciate your response.. I just put the expressdusk rom on my tp2 and it's pretty awesome.. I should be happy for a little while.. the Rom runs better than mighty rom so far... I think when my insurance phone, in place of the broken TP2 i'm using now, comes in i'll flash this rom to it and sell it giving me some mula for my next phone.

Idk i'll pm a guy about this but seeing as i can not use sprints phones.. can i use lets say an HD2 from tmobile??

I think that the speed of it was ok, so that wasn't a problem. The Desire is faster, but not sure it was worth the $300 price tag. But I did want to try the Android phone to see if it was what I wanted, and since I could not seem to get one loaned to me for a month or two, I decided to just buy the thing. Will I go back to the TP2? Nope, i will sell it. The first change I had to get use to was fingernails don't help with the Desire, so cut them down, this thing works great with the fingertips. That was the hardest part to learn. Also my Pocket Quicken doesn't work in Android, so dumped quicken and went with www.ClearCheckbook.com, they have an android app and it works great. 2nd problem to overcome was Swype, but SlideIT works great, I notice Slacker works better than on the TP2, but the Desire speaker really sounds tinny compared to the TP2. So the TP2 has it there... As far as the Galaxy is concerned, is USCC getting them?

So far the Desires con's are:

1) Reception, I got more bars with the TP2
2) Battery life is the pits!!!

Other than those two, I like the Desire. I just wish USCC would come out with the Android phones as fast as the other carriers. So my recommendation is, if you can wait for another new Android, then wait. Maybe someone will chime in about the Galaxy phone here.

USCC is a CDMA phone. Therefore locked to USCC. But there seems to be a little waver, when I had the Touch Pro and was on the forum, someone mentioned that if your phone was unlocked and reached a sympathetic ear of tech support, they would add your esn number to the database and you can use it on USCC. I don't know how true true this is, but it was something I read. I think Verizon is also CDMA, but ATT and T-Mobile are GSM phones. Now if you sims unlock your TP2 phone you can use the ATT Sim card in it.

Re: evo for us cellular??

this may be something to know and you can make assumptions from this. okay so i unlocked my tp2 and put the rom on it. I called uscc and I told them i needed it activated. The woman sai okay give me the number under the battery so i did. then the next step was to turn it on and call ##000000.. i did and it actually called the number didn't go to setup... sooo what the heck.. explain. i've activated a stock tp2 and i had to setup it by dialing the number.
