want to root hero but............

ok, so the cmd C:\android-sdk-windows\tools method of rooting my evo worked great. but when it goes to C:\android-sdk-windows\tools>adb devices i get
'adb' is not recognized as an internal or external command, ooperable program or batch file.

what happend and how do I fix? I downloaded the files for rooting, even did htc sync 2.0.33 or what ever over my current version of 2.0.4 for evo. still no luck. Am i missing a file somewhere in tools?

followed these steps (same as posted in xda site) starting with step 1. Root your HTC Hero CDMA Stock Android 2.1 | Gadgets DNA

Re: want to root hero but............

Never mind i found the issue. I sub foldered my tools. It was android-sdk-windows/tools/tools. Had to move my files from the tools folder inside the tools folder to the tools folder root. If that makes sense. Please close thread.
