Android = SPAM... New Evo/Android users be warned

im sure this isnt new news, but most here have No Android experience what-so-ever...

so ive been playing with Xandroid dual boot for about a week now.. and im starting to notice Android is a bit sketchy... (anyone not familiar with Xandroid, its Android on the TP2)

i went to install a new keyboard and got a warning that i would be giving up info if i use this.. info being(as warned by app): that search inqueries and including password/login info would be visible.. WTF???

also noticed that in all those wonderful free apps(which most people will probably mostly/only use free apps) they have ads, which means SPAM..

shouldve known something from Google would have Ads all over it, i dont know why im suprised...

so how long before they figure out how to install rootkits and such embedded into these Ads/spam...

Im all about getting an EVO, but i dunno now, i dont need half my apps SPAMMING me while im using them...

Just wanted to bring any New Android people up to speed... you will have Ads/Spam in your apps..

Basically this is an example of you get what you "pay" for.

yeah and you can block the ads and if you like you can usually buy the app and get it ad free..

I dont think i have ever got any spam from a app in an email. dont sweat it dude.

Google doesn't charge for any of there most used services and we love them for that... but they have to make money somehow or we wouldn't have opposition to these m$ and Apple guys. The reason these phones are so cheap compared to the Winmo phone is also b/c they run android. There has to be profit somewhere and they choose to use ads instead of direct charging which is good I think. It gets apps out there for free yet still ofers revenue for developers, you can literally try thousands of apps and use them for free rather than spend $ and find you hate the prog. like we have with winmo, or apple. The day where I have to see a TRIAL or AD for 10 seconds before running the program each time I launch it will be the day I would start complaining, but a little add at the top of my screen (esp a 4.3" screen) is nothing to me at the moment, I applaud google at keeping their ways years later. They did it with google.com and was able to bring that same revenue stream to us on a huge level with these phones still keeping costs down to us.

Dude, Seriously, how many more times are you going to post this??

Swype doesn't steal usernames and passwords, it remembers them and puts them in YOUR database on the phone only.
So if you password is Andro1d, you tap each letter and number then press the spacebar, once you do that and it's a word that swype doesn't recognize, then all you have to do the next time is "Swype" over the letters.
So to get an Andro1d, all you do is "Swype" starting with A-n-d-r-o-i-d, and it will know that you meant to type in Andro1d, since you entered it in your database.
Notice you didn't have to change the case of the keyboard to get the 1 to show? This is one of the main features of Swype.

when you install a new kb android warns you that the keyboard could steel information, a wm kb could do the same thing it just doesnt warn you...
