wonder when android will overtake wm

i wonder how many months it will take for android to overtake wm on the forums.

-Android 3.9%

How long has windows phones been out? android?
I am a recent convert from wm. easy transition, much less bugs, fast, google services, need i say more?

well it may never be because of the site owners and mods and such. if there still all wm guys then it wont change but if they convert then its possible that it may

The OP meant on PPCGEEKS itself, when or if Android will overtake the popularity of WM on here in the forums.

i personally dont think itll overtake WM on PPCGeeks for the simple fact that this site started w WM and a VERY large percentage of the users on here are die hard WinMo, And this is the largest CDMA site for everything WinMo. so there will always be new members coming. i for one did switch to Android but am still up to date on all that is WinMo cuz i still have a small soft spot for it. Just IMO

yeah all thats cool but google is becoming the new microsoft!! with that being said u got to remember the more products u have the harder it will be to keep them current and harder it will be for forward progress!! look at google voice been out for like a year and still is in beta u still need a invite to use it and dont even get me started with wave!! google is doing the same thing ms did start like 10 different projects and take ur time finishing them!! over time one or more projects are bound to fall behind!!

first there was andriod then they chrome then started google voice then google wave then andriod scaled for netbooks and then chrome os and the lastest is a full speced google phone!! they have the money but just like ms they dont have the man power or the demand!!!

Well as I type, there are over 700 PPC Geek users on the site. But, not even 30 are in Android forums, while nearly 500 are on WinMo forums. That makes the current odds 17 to 1 in favor of WinMo. As to when (or if) Android catches up here at PPCG, that's only a guess.

As for myself, I spend maybe half my time in Android forums here because of how refreshing and exciting it's growth is, in spite of my concerns about Google becoming 'big brother.' I'd switch to a Droid phone in a heartbeat if it would do the things my Windows Phone does for me now. But so far, no Android phone comes close.

As the droid is shipped

It is a complete insult to anyone who realizes the power of linux

And can cut it no slack for lacking simple common sense features and functions

If the voice tech extended beyond google searching

I'd dictate a dissertation on all the things about ot that I find egregious with the least of which is not the touch keyboard sans cursor arrows and requiring surgical aim

Fantastic screen, tons of potential....

But sadly, I dont see it ever giving winmo a run for the money anytime soon...

As far as the current droid talent in the forums

You dont have to be a rocket scientist to see the difference in what useful info is to be had for them compared to any flagship, and far better equipped winmo phone

Quite disappointing as I had high hopes for it and thought myself lucky when vzw gave me this droid.
