Re: [Feb/17] MatBee 6.5.5 ROM - 5.2.23518

23518 added. Please let me know if it malfunctions, I modified the ROM a bit after I flashed my device. If it's broken, I'll just put up my currently booted version.

Re: [Feb/17] MatBee 6.5.5 ROM - 5.2.23518

downloading right now....i'm great at finding any bugs in each ROM build. so far there have been quirks here and there in each. I do appreciate the hard work you and all the others do. we'll see how this one works out.

oh on a side note...when you list out changes to each ROM. you have X's +'s and -"s next to them.. a noob question.....are the x's meaning that it was included or removed? some people post differently just wanna make sure when i'm looking around. thanks in advance. oh and does this build have the infamous Google maps GPS issue? last few 6.5 versions haven't worked with GPS to my knowledge or is it a google maps issue?

I haven't tested Google Maps yet, I hope it works though :P
But, [x] is a ROM feature. [+] is added, [-] is removed.

So if this is a 4 column start menu does that mean I can use the Netflix app on the phone? I think SPB had a problem with a 5 column resolution also.

I haven't messed with the resolution. All that was changed is the start-menu layout file. This doesn't affect SPB or any other application.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile 6.0) Sprint Treo850e)

ok got lastest rom up and running and have achance to play around and so far i'm very happy with this build. as promised i have noticed a few "quirky" things that might be of interest to you to see if its your build or just running on a treo pro like i am.

1. when in a prgram lets say "email" when i hit the options round button, the top choice is missing along with the arrows at the top and bottom. the choice appears only when i grab and scroll the list. in other instances there are only two choices and the top choice is not visble, just a blank white area where i know there is supposed to be a choice.

also noticed the "X" button doesn't close any programs. i have to go into task manager to shut off a program completely. is that what the showcase program is for that you metion at the beginning of this thread?

also tried google maps 3.2.1, 3.5, and the newest 4.0.0 and all the can't get GPS to work. tried turning on and off several tims and resetting and reinstalling but no dice. did something break in the build? i did some research and some people say 3.2.1 should work, but hasn't for me yet.

anyway to have IE remember the zoom level on each page as you hit links or is the only way to double tap or use zoom scroller?

ICS kept dropping my connection after 2 minutes or so, but noticed if i set "standby/backlight" to longer time like 10mins it kept connection. is it just me?

for the weather app (i think its titanium weather or something) what do i need to install to have it as part of my home screen like in some other builds? just a small detail i wish this build had.

also maybe including the official SMS patch for 2016 in your next build?

other than that so far. i'm happiest with your Feb 17th ROM. 4on't wann be bashing your hard work at all. just finding minor tid bits here and there as i go. Hope i didn't get too deep for my first couple posts. Thanx again.

Re: [Feb/17] MatBee 6.5.5 ROM - 5.2.23518

It is working well for me. I'd like to see the new Telenav app replace the Sprint app, The Showcase app included so programs can be closed and a soft rest app included so I don't have to pull the battery cover. If possible of course. IS there a place to download the cab file for the Telenav and Showcase app.

Re: [Feb/17] MatBee 6.5.5 ROM - 5.2.23518

Excellent work! This has made using the Treo Pro more enjoyable.

I am having an issue with incoming calls which also existed in build 23089B. That is the phone only rings/vibrates once at the end of an incoming call and before going to voicemail. This means that I miss all incoming calls. I can fix this issue by installing the ringer patch found on Palm's website. However, this replaces the Windows dialer with the Palm dialer. Is there a fix which will allows me to continue using the Windows dialer?

I use Reboot application from Quantum Concepts. It can be downloaded using Microsoft Market. It is a free awesome software. No more need to pull the batter cover. Hope this helps.

I apologize, I forgot to cook in the Palm ringer fix. This was all my fault. I'll fix this in my next revision.... Crap. Yes there is a registry entry you can use.
