Oh I know i was thinking more along the lines of having a .cab deploy a plmo.mid file to the windows folder on the phone instead of renaming one. just a thought, thnks for the help

Re: +++RaiderROM! WM 6.5.3 [04/27/2011]

Two questions.
1st Does anyone know of a way to make the signal strength icon larger, or an app that puts it on the today screen for the RealVga rom?
2nd. With garmin XT on the phone the screen saver keeps kicking in. I am having trouble finding a way to make the screen saver stay off while I am using the app.
Any thoughts would be helpful.

Re: +++RaiderROM! WM 6.5.3 [04/27/2011]

Well it is not an exact fix, but I found this thread telling how to change the signal strength icon from 6 to 4 bars. It makes it easier to read, but less precise.

Got the garmin sorted out after a full reinstall of the rom and the app. BTW for the garmin users, here is the link to garmin's page for the download of XT. Of course you will need your license to make it work. Garmin: Garmin Mobile XT Navigation for Smartphones Software Update Collection

Re: +++RaiderROM! WM 6.5.3 [04/27/2011]

I'm having a problem with the Home Screen Customizer that I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered. I'm using the 6.5.3 128DPI build. I'm having two problems.

1. I'm trying to add the 'App' panel but after I save, the App panel on my home screen is blank. The icons do not show up on my home screen (I've tried changing themes but it still doesn't work). Recent apps show up, but it doesn't give me the option to go back to my favorite apps.

2. The Customizer App doesn't seem to save any of the apps I'm placing in the list.

yes unfortunately this is a bug i believe with WM 6.5 and 320x320 screen resolution and compatibility with the Showaco Home Screen Customizer app itself. Some apps will show up others just simply will not...Someone correct me if I am wrong but I spent a lot of time at one point tweaking the "titanium" home screen and continuously ran into the issue you are describing. sucks lol

Re: +++RaiderROM! WM 6.5.3 [04/27/2011]

I found the plmo.mid ringer locked reg key after installing http://palmone.r3h.net/downloads.pal...ngerUpdate.CAB

If someone knows how to tear that cab open perhaps we can narrow down the cause of the issue.

From palm "this update corrects the registry if it finds it is corrupted and helps prevent further registry corruption."

Maybe there is some small app in memory that keeps it from changing ?

Re: +++RaiderROM! WM 6.5.3 [04/27/2011]

Raider,

Unfortunately, I've found two other issues that are just wacky.

1. No matter what I set the ringer to, it always defaults to the "Treo" ringer. I've tried an MP3 from the device itself and a built-in ringtone without success

2. The phone doesn't vibrate at all. I know that the vibrate feature is good because when being switched into silent mode the phone vibrates successfully. I've tried using the manual switch on top (the phone will vibrate then to indicate it's in silent mode), just turning the ringer all the way down, and leaving the ringer at full volume. My settings are configured for the phone to vibrate whether the ringer is on or off.

The solution to my last issue (with the ringer not ringing after the data provisioning was installed) was that I manually created the #777 internet connection. Maybe these issues are related to the missing plmo.mid and to solve this vibrate/non-changing ringer issue I need to create this missing file.

Edit:No joy. Renamed one of the .mid files in the windows directory to plmo.mid and soft reset; still having the same issue with the vibration and non-changing ringer.

If there's anything I can do to help or troubleshoot further, just let me know.

Thanks again!,

Frank

That is interesting, unfortunately i do not even have sprint service anymore so i cannot test any ringer issues and since it seems the latest ROMS caused a non-fixable issue I have taken the links down. I do not forsee me producing anymore ROMS for the Treo Pro, thanks to everyone who donated and helped make it better! Long Live Windows Phone 7
