BigE Rom Build 23518 V 1.0 (updated 1/31/2010) - Page 23

that's weird I'm running the previous version, not the updated 1/31 version of this rom, but the one before that. Mine says it's 1.03-SPT and it says Incorrect Device, "This update will only support Palm Treo Pro version 1.04-SPT" then the installation fails. When I try to install the alltel the 1.03-SPT version from the palm site it says Setup Error, "Invalid software version, the update process is abort." so they both fail. I bought my phone on ebay so it was probably one of those recalled Sprint 1.03-SPT phones. I wonder if I use the 1.03-1.04 updater then reinstall this rom if it'll display as 1.04-SPT. I would have thought that it was whatever this rom displayed it as though. Is there a difference between a custom rom and the 1.03-SPT & 1.04-SPT? I kinda thought the 1.03-SPT & 1.04-SPT where just the original roms and the custom rom would display as one of those, but have a custom OS, settings, programs, etc. Is this wrong? Will the installation of a custom rom not change the 1.03 or 1.04-SPT at all? Thanks for the reply skeegcpp.

Only difference is is that I have the 23511 where you have the 23518. Can anyone with the 23511 confirm their software version?

@grompy, that screenshot is of the 23511 build. i thot the OP had the same build as me, 23518. try flashin the 23518 build and c if that fixes anything

Is this setup to use powervision for internet sharing or do i have to install icsenable.

i didnt have to install anything with this version. jus sync with pc, launch ICS, wait a sec or two. then it was connected.

Is there anyway to uninstall microsoft myphone? I cant upgrade to 1.6 because the 1.5 version cant be removed the 1.6 version when i try to upgrade and the 1.5 version wont connect anymore.

im runnin this rom now and i updated with no problem???? actually, the app made me upgrade b4 i cud sync my browser favs and stuff..u want the 1.6 cab??

I don't think this will solve it. I guess its time for a hard reset.
