I have the lag issue as well with sms. It's not a consistent thing, but it usually takes about 5 secs for a cursor to appear unless I hit the menu softkey like you've done. I think its just an issue with 2.5, but I haven't tried the 2.1 rom yet.

You are correct, it is an issue with 2.5 or more specically the HTC Messaging App that 2.5 uses. The problem gets worse over time as it is caused by it trying to load every message in a thread before you can respond. If you watch the message window you'll notice the small gray scroll bar get smaller as more messages are loaded.

Loving this rom a lot...for me I'd like my home page to be cleaner like the right picture above...so how do I modify the home page to look like the right picture or remove the quick links(Opera,CommManger,Camera) tabs from the picture on the left. Thanks again for all you do.

the one on the right is manila 2.1 vs the one on the left which is manila 2.5.. you just have to download the right rom..

I'm using the same ROM you are....sms works but mms does not send. when I try to send I get a yellow box on the task bar that says it's sending it but it does not go out.. Eventually it tell me it was unable to send message...
any ideas?

New question though..would you know why it won't let me turn on the data connection through settings..this is probably why I can't send a mms.

Sounds like a problem with provisioning. Did you choose a provisioning cab when you first installed the rom?

Calk was a Touch pro Rom fan and just got my touch pro 2. Downloading the 2.1 version 28005 now. Will post any constructive feedback

I noticed the pagepool_changer.exe in the extracted folder. What is the default? Does anyone change their pool size who is on Sprint?

I have a quick question...I cannot get the custom_ruu.exe file to open. I have tried using jzip and other programs but it does not open. Am I doing something wrong?
