To update the R3 kitchen to the new sprint base, what all needs to be done? I tried it on my kitchen and I think I have done everything, but just want to make sure. My kitchen working great and I'm loving welrope's 21646 SYS, about to try 21647.

Anyways, what I did was, I dumped the stock sprint ROM in VK, and I copied over the OEMDrivers folder and overwrote what was already in the R3 kitchen. I also took the camera EXT, but most other things in the kitchen seemed to be newer versions already than most of the sprint EXT's.

I just wanted to see if I'm on the right track or if I'm missing anything important.

you should edit your ext package. from cookie himself:

"Notes for cooks:
Don't cook in the file "ManilaFull.xml". Originally it's a manila cache file that's generated on start up (based on the xml files in \windows\manilaxml\).
This file should never be cooked in because it will prevent changes to manila pages and menus.
The "ManilaFull.xml" in the cab is an empty file. It's only there to make manila regenerate it after install, because I've made changes to the home menu.
So make sure not to cook in that file in any form."

check my sig at the bottom for the updated kitchen.. i recommend downloading my ext files, and comparing them to yours... that way you will have an understanding of what to port and where.

then your golden!

oh yeah for everyone else, just updated my rom.. check the sig show some love

so chefs.. im having a problem.. for some reason my menu softkey on the manila messaging tab wont work... its a very odd issue and im not sure what it is... does anyone know what reg edit that is?

also im using the dusk theme, it just started happening after the sprint 2.5 update.... lastly on my dusk theme i use to get black folders but now they are going back to the mellow yellow... anyone know what could have done it? might be my order of cooking but was wondering if anyone had a quick answer...

for the folders, the images are in the shellres.192.dll file i believe, have you changed taskbars by chance?

your menu not working, are you using the manila 2.5 posted a few pages back that was skinned down? IF so that is your problem. I cooked this manila and it broke my menu key as well. Recooked with the standard manila and all was fine again.

Sounds like someone deleted an manila xml file. That would be a pain to figure out which one.

Yeah, the package was about half the size of the normal manila files and ran great. The only thing was the email menu bug.
