So for the xip why not have a 6.1 xip and a 6.5 xip instead of one for each build?

What are you thoughts about mencfilt.dll , hd.dll, mencfilt.dll, osaxst0.dll, and cachefilt.dll.

What do you lose by deleting these .dll's.

Has anyone experimented with this???

The 2 menc ones are for encrypting the SD card.

What happens if you delete those (I dont encrypt my sd card).
If the XIP is smaller, does it respond any faster or what.

I'm still a noob but isn't the xip the heart/brain that everything goes thru.

I always remove those files and comment out the mencfilt.dll from the boot_ms.rgu... I also started removing the references from the .dsm as well....not sure if it helps, doesnt seem to hurt anything...

How do you comment out the mencfilt.dll from the boot_ms.rgu. I dont even know how to get in either file. Is there a tutorial running around?

That is what I thought. I dumped the sprint 6.5 rom five times and could not get it to boot. I thought perhaps I was missing some files or needed to change something. I try again tonight with your post.

Why do we have a copy of the same OEMXIPkernel for each build iin the kitchen.

Could we not just have one copy. Then we would pick the build when we chose the SYS. Xip would just have one choice.

Just tried your OEMXIPKernel and get no booters using calk's kitchen. That the same issue I have been having. Oh well, back to the old Kernel for now.

Update, dammit to hell I thought I double checked but the stupid wince.nls was not in there. Moved one there and booted just fine! = )
