Open the nuebattery app and uncheck "enable fast charge" I would keep the app because it gives you 1 percent battery increments.

Ok, quick question again.

I was messing around with 21056 build with manila 2.1.
One gripe that I had was that bottom bar's icons were way too big unless they were selected... any way to change that to normal size? Everything just felt so...... big on 2.1... Any help would be appreciated.

I'm coming along great with creating my own ROM...I have no problem getting rid of stuff but how do I add things? A specific example would be the ereader add-in...how do I add those files with the kitchen?

Ok, seems almost no one has had this issue.

I click "Create ROM," and it runs through a bunch of the modules and then says "Warning!!! Found module duplicate on Module..." over and over nonstop and all I can do is ForceQuit the application.

I can say that if I dont use nue's batt driver my batt last much longer. Nue also released a 1.2 version of the driver since the previous versions had batt drain. I'll stick to stock driver for now.

Will FastCharge damage or reduce my battery life?
No, not more than if you plugged your phone into the charger it came with. The stock battery driver will try to determine if the phone is plugged into USB or a real charger, if it is plugged into USB it limits the charge draw to 500mA in order to adhere to USB standards. If it is plugged into the stock charger, it will draw the full 900mA. FastCharge (when enabled) forces the battery to charge at 900mA no matter what its plugged into.

I have FastCharge enabled, but nuePowerCPL is only showing ~500mA charge rate!
This is because you are approaching 80%-100% charge. In order to safely charge a Lithium Ion battery, the rate of charge has to be regulated carefully based on several parameters, including temperature and current level. FastCharge increases the MAXIMUM charge rate only. Between 0-80% though, you are likely to notice a difference.

No matter what I do, I can only get a 500mA charge rate
As shaggylive noted, some USB hubs and hosts regulate the maximum current, so you might just try using another USB hub / host.
Rapidcharge (called fastcharge back in the day) only takes effect when you plug in your phone to the computer. It doesn't speed up charging on your phone plugged into the wall so whatever you guys are seeing is pure placebo effect.

Re: [ Kitchen ][ 2-16 ][ v1.6 B2 ][28230 / 23534 / 21892 / 21056] Calkulin's WVGA Kit

Hello All,
I'm running Calks v1.5/28223/2.5 and for the life of me I'm unable to get the sd encryption to stay check after I leave the page. I can check the box, close the page, go right back to it and the box will be unchecked. Have any of you seen this before, is this a known bug or is there a fix/workaround for this? I HAVE to have encryption on my card, but I'm lost on what to do at this point. Any advice or help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Okay, this is really starting to get very, very frustrating. The last 3 versions of the kitchen have all given me this error after the platform rebuilder stops working:

XIP: xip.bin not found!
XIP not Inserted!

I have made no changes to the ROM files at all. Can someone please give me sime guidance on what is going wrong here????

What OS? In vista and 7 you cant have the kitchen on c:\ [the root] It must be in your my docs or user file space. Also, you may have to run it as admin. Even with UAC off windows is weird as hell about it.

Also, try right clicking on the folder where the kitchen is, hit properties [how cow! 21gb of touch pro 2 crap!] Go to the security tab and click your user, every box under security should be checked except special permissions. If its not press the edit button and make the changes.

With XP make sure you have .net 3.5 and all the updates that go with it, its downloadable from windows update if you do a custom update.

To be sure the download is good, get an md5 checker and this is the hash from the 1.6 beta 2 that I downloaded and works: A158A0466E729E085D9CBCD5C512A9FE
