no issues w/23549 for me... i have a feeling some people aren't really looking into what's packed w/the updates & just drop it in the kitchen and cook

calk includes alot of helpful tools in his kitchen & if you aren't using them, you certainly should be! i would recommend comparing an updated sys to one of the previous ones you've had good luck w/to see what's in fact different. windiff is your friend

I've narrowed this down to only happen when I have the SIM card in..

I can usually also still send SMS's from manila messaging but absolutely not at all from WinMo messaging. Why would the SIM card cause this and what is the fix?

Please PM me if you would like or post here, but it is urgent that I figure this out.

Thank you very much.

Thanks!

But I have to admit I am a little lazy like that. I guess my problem is I can nerver really tell the diffrence between 23547 and say 23549. I spend a bunch of time trying other things. Example I spent a bunch of time this morning trying to get that facebook tab to work. Didn't get it but I tried. I guess I spend more time on things that are really noticeable. Spent a hole lotta time on the eReader and Documents Tabs just to get them to work and say.... when the heck am I going to read a book LOL.

So things like Icons, tabs, different wallpaper I spend a hole lotta time Visuals I guess you could say. The system, all seems about the same to me.

yeah i am in the same boat...sorta. I used to update/mod the kitchen like a wild man. But, lately, just dont have the time. Extra hours at work, planning a wedding, p90x 6 days a week... just plain out of time. So, I guess I am hoping for an update from calk or maybe even tmartin.

tmartin puts togehter some really great work.

I wont go to a cooked rom because it has all the crap I dont use or none of the stuff I do use. Never leavin the kitchen, but cant spend hours playing, experimenting, and flashing right now.

so jealous of u guys though, i want the new sprint manila, and new sys packs out there, and the new camera oems too! feel so left out right now. bummer.

once april is over though, i will b back w/ a vengence.

Re: [ Kitchen ][ 3-5 ][ v1.6 R3 ][28232 / 23542 / 21893 / 21056] Calkulin's WVGA Kitc

Hey guys, I just noticed Calkulin came out with that rom thats is supposed to be optimized for using that "Haret" or android OS on it......the one with nothing on it! My only question is............

........how in the hell do I get one of his 6.5 roms like that......or any rom I can customize with a kitchen?!?!?!?!

In other words, how can I use this kitchen to make a 6.5 rom and take out a lot of stuff so I can have more program memory to work with?!?! How do you shrink the rom size down after you edit it?!?!?!?!

Any help would be appreciated......and thanks in advanced!

Re: [ Kitchen ][ 3-5 ][ v1.6 R3 ][28232 / 23542 / 21893 / 21056] Calkulin's WVGA Kitc

I ran into this "service.exe" error when building with the new 23111

Other than that I really liked the overall feel over the 23111. It includes MyPhone even if you don't cook it in, that's one thing I've noticed so far, everything works, and memory management is lower.the only thing is right after the first flash right before booting Manila is states Microsoft Error Reporting, "services.exe" has encountered a problem.

replaced with services.exe from Calk's 23xxx SYS and rebuilt but still got the same problem, anyone have a 23111 SYS and ROM up and running with no problems?

Is cal gonna be updating? or is this left to us to do with as we need? I have always used his kitchen to get titanium only since none of the cooks have that as an option.

If all you need is Titanium then what exactly are you looking for Calkulin to update that would suit your needs?
You can use any of the three COM branches to base ur Titanium on, unless you're on the cutting edge on SYS's

anyway. I was wondering if any kitchen chefs have got 23111 SYS and ROM working without errors for the Kitchen..keep running into "services.exe" encountered an error
