Speaking of EXT's that work. Do you have a copy of the GadgetRom taskbar v 1 that will work in this VK. I've tried to get it to work, but it screews up my wap. (i'm on Cricket if that matters).
Thanks

Anyways... Would there be any interest in me reviving one of my Custom OEM request threads? Except making it a Custom OEM/EXT Visual Kitchen Thread?

Thanks thanks thanks thanks for for for your your input!

I'd say making a new one for just EXTs would be better. That way people new to cooking don't get too confused... I'd love to have a central place for EXTs.

Agreed! And you definately know how to put together a legible thread. I appreciate the offer and I'll definately make sure I have my good ones in my Mediashare folder in my sig. You can grab them and use them If you would like some more for a good kickoff. For example, I have an EXT of spbPocketPlus which I edited to only have the files and setup for it's browse-to-any-folder Open/Save dialog.

If I may make a recommendation to ya... I've recently been thinking about how a useful EXT thread might be organized and perhaps it would help to group them by their prefix name as they are found in the kitchen. Like "Applications -", "Internet -", "Icons - Taskbar -", "Multimedia -", System -", etc.

That sounds like a great thread.

How about a tutorial on how to deal with cabs that dont convert to usable EXT's.

I've found the best way to solve that problem is to use WinCE CAB Manager to export the registry entries and overwrite the app.reg file with it.

Did you by chance update the OEMDrivers as well?

all i did was download the sys file from this thread and move the files into place. unless the OEMDrivers were built in, they didn't get updated.

where would i get updated ones from and why would not updating them affect the alarms?

No the OEMDrivers are not in the SYS folder so that shoots that down. Did you set your alarm threw WM or Sense. I do it directly from WM, that's the alarm clock in settings. Verify that the ringer was available.

Guess you'll find out tomorrow morning if it working or not. Stay up a little later really test it out. :)
