Re: [ Kitchen ][ 3-5 ][ v1.6 R3 ][28232 / 23542 / 21893 / 21056] Calkulin's WVGA Kitc

Does anyone have a link to the older kitchens? I am using VZW and I cannot live without MMS. I have tried a number of different "recipes", and have stopped short of running the "old" MMS fixes out there, but I had this working with the older Kitchen's and would like to get a hold of them again (I lost the drive on my laptop and thus, all the old kitchen downloads). Any help would be appreciated!

so i have one of the weirdest issues out there. TMartin tried helping me but nothing seems to take.... here is the screen cap

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...nscreencap.jpg

as you can see, for some odd reason, my files are jumbled up and refuse to sort... tried deleting the package.txt files, tried sorting them and re-saving, nothing takes. anyone have an idea of what else could cause them to act this crazy or even another way i could go about trying to sort these?? its everywhere and because of the order, it is overwriting or deleting some of my tweaks. so sometimes one thing works, then other times other things pop up that didnt pop up before, and so on, and so forth...

Ok, I know this has been asked before...and there weren't any "helpful" response. I tried to NOT cooking in certain sys files...to "lighten" my ROM...yeah...big fail. I guess I don't know enough to do that just yet. So, I'm asking for help as to what are required files for the O/S to boot...and what are "optional" so that way I have a lighter ROM.

Please don't flame since for every one of me...I'm sure there's at lease 15 others that would like the same guidance.

TIA

Here's one of the pages I use. I think there's another page over at XDA, but I can't remember where the page is right now. If I find it, I'll post it too.

If you don't run titanium at all, you can remove bronze and bronze nonea packages as well as chome. I remove entertainment as i don't want the games, i also remove ipsecvpn, remote desktop, sky market, sqlmobile, voice command, windows live, windows live im. That doesn't include what calk already has taken unhighlited or taken out. If you don't tether via usb/bluetooth, you can remove interent sharing.

HTH and let me know if you have any more questions.

I also have to say that i hope this thread doesn't become like mighty's and especially NRGZ's. The childishness is enough that i don't even bother reading the thread to offer help. I have always enjoyed this thread due to the awesome people that frequent it. There are some great guys on here. I just had to say that because it is a shame that someone has to beg to not be flamed for asking a question irregaurdless of how many times its been asked before.:headbang:

I used it for a couple days and its seemed to be wearing on my battery. So I just took it out of my ROM.

that version was just released today. from my experiences with s2u2 there are alot of settings (especially some of the ones selected by default) that can wear on the battery life but if configured correctly it shouldnt drain anymore than it would if it wasnt installed
