You need to go to C:\Calkulin's WVGA Kitchen v1.6\EXT\Touch_Pro2\Common\Packages\Carrier - Sprint (OR whatever carrier you are using).. Open config_operator.txt with notepad. You will have something like this..

LOCK:Enabled
CFG: \Windows\Manila.txt
CFG: \Windows\Config.txt
CAB: \Windows\Calkulins_Touch_Pro2_Tweaks.cab
CAB: \Windows\New.cab
XML: \Windows\Start_Menu.xml
LOCK:Disabled

Add an extra line like the one in red above with your cab name.
Put this cab into this folder. (You will see Calkulins_Touch_Pro2_Tweaks.cab there)

C:\Calkulin's WVGA Kitchen v1.6\OEM\Touch_Pro2\Common\OEMMISC.

Yes you can. Go into the C:\Calkulin's WVGA Kitchen v1.6\EXT\Shared\Packages\System - HTC Animations - HTC\files
The file is HTCAnimationStartup.gif.Change this file to the startup animation you want with the same name and re cook and it should work.

What I normally do is make a copy of this folder and call it something different and disable the other and enable the new.

Are you refering to after I build and load the ROM or before? I ask because I didn't see a spot to select the black or non-black flamerise.tsk during the build.

Besides that tho, the appointment editor not coming up for a new appointment is the biggest issue. Not sure what's happening there.

Did you do a hard reset after loading the ROM. I always do because it tends to clear up wierd little things.

As for the new appointment issue, when I seperated the messaging client from the engine package, I forgot that contact picker is needed by new appointments also, so use this cab to fix it

Calk, excellent kitchen! I'm just learning how to cook and having a ball. I created my first EXTs from CABs yesterday.

Quick question - am using Opera 9.7 and for some reason links in emails don't open. Any ideas as to what the problem might be? Also, are there any issues with Opera 10 beta that you are aware of? TIA for your help.

That's not exactly a good idea. That kitchen is pretty different. It uses OEMs instead of EXTs and the SYS format is different... It won't teach you too much about using an Evirus Visual kitchen.
