Apology in advance, I have spent hours searching, for what will be no-doubt, be a simple fix. There is much information on the various sites that all give slightly different information, none of which I can make work.

I haven't used the kitchen for some time, (way back in the "SDAutoRun" not "RunCC" days"). At least 2 months ago when the "old school" way was still supported, at least in part.

I have now switched back to this kitchen, and have everything working...but not my few cab files I need to install to complete my configuration.

So, I still have a file called "SDConfig.txt" in the root of the microSD storage card with references to \storage card\cabs\myfile.cab (one for each cab).

What do I need to do so my cabs can be automatically be installed?
I assume there is a new method, structure, etc.

Thanks

many thanks

I prefer Sashimi.

Anyone have any pro's or con's they can share with me?

Edit: Sorry, I ran 23534 yesterday and 28230 today, not noticing any differences.

The good news: I posted a file that has what you need to cook in Sashimi thanks to Rootlinux.

The bad news: It doesn't work on Sense 2.5.2012 it just throws an error when it goes to run. I haven't really looked into the problem yet.

I was just looking over your attachment. It seems like he is using Autorun to install and run Shasimi. I was trying to do something similar with runcc, but I couldn't get it to work for one reason or another.

2012 shouldn't have anything to do with it. However maybe Calkulin is using a new runncc that is conflicting. I thought I read before where runcc and autorun didn't get along. But if that has been working for you than I don't know. I just think there should be a cleaner way.

Maybe Indagroove can let us know how he does it.

Only real difference is that 23534 has threaded email and 28230 doesn't(well, it's not enabled).

Any fix for the 2.5.2012 AlbumTab so I don't have to cook in MaxManila? MaxManila is just too easy for me to break, lol.

That's why I just use this SASHIMI.lnk shortcut and the xml to delete the shortcut at the end of SASHIMI's autorun:
The shortcut points to "\Storage Card\SASHIMI\Program\2577\Autorun.exe"

I prefer it this way because, for whatever reason, I like the stability it affords me.

- I built mine into a cab that I use in UC but here's one with ONLY the LINK in it.
- you can also use CPY1 and CPY2 functions in the config_operators.txt
Either way **Just make sure you put the XML in \Storage Card\SASHIMI\Auto\XML\ or else SASHIMI will launch on every boot.**

Thanks Calk. Can we please get an update on the VZW carrier changes? I would like to know if MMS is working 100%. Seems iffy before.

If it matters, I only have one button showing up on K1.6b1, the end button.

This is what I usually show as well. I guess there should be an entry for the Favorite button, but I have never used it. How is your MMS/SMS working?

I've been away from the WM scene for way too long. Now, back.

When I had my Apache, and then my Mogul, I used both dcd and Calkulin. I cannot even recognize how to use Calk's kitchen.

Two quick qs:
1. Best barebones, dcd-like ROM? (i.e., is Calk's barebones ROM generated from kitchen still up to snuff)?
2. Tutorial/read me for using Calk's kitchen?

Thanks in advance.
