Then again, my desktop is also Win7 x86... with UAC disabled.

I have had issues with all of the past kitchens, all about the same sort of problems. I finally gave up a bit ago and found a ROM that was close enough (Malatesta's) and ran that for several weeks - no problems! That ROM was built with the now-defunct SSK.

I'm not beyond thinking it's a defective device, but it ran beautifully on the stock ROM before I unlocked it. It was always fast, very consistent, everything just worked. I saw a build of this kitchen and decided to give it a try. I've had problems ever since.

The stock ROM still "works" 100% but it's much slower than it was before. Slight lockups, the occasional freeze - it's still better than the TP1 was, but it's nothing like it used to be. So the stock ROM is out of the question too, but unless it seriously malfunctions, I will have a hard time getting a replacement out of Sprint.

Beta 2 download link was working fine, must have failed in the last 30 seconds or so after I walked away, I got a corrupt download. Now, capacity is exceeded. I'll get it down as soon as I can, build a ROM, post the .erv and ROM that's causing problems on my phone for anyone to try. Maybe there's a kind soul out there that'll flash it for a day and see what happens.

Shadow,

I feel for you, I saw your pleas for help before. I wish I could help you. You might want to try running one of Calk's pre-cooked roms to see if it fairs better.

What sys and manila do you normally run?

I build my roms with my windows 7 x64 bit laptop with UAC on. BTW, you should run with uac, its a lot better than it was on vista, but I shouldn't be lecturing.

If you have a memory card, try removing that as it may be causing problems. Hang in there.

Actually, I kept UAC on both computers for a while. I was running an older application that gave me some issues with UAC so I just disabled them both because I kept forgetting to run them as an admin. Given what UAC was supposed to do (separate user mode and kernel mode environments... stop rootkits such as hxdef aka hacker defender) and its shortcomings in Vista, I'm not supremely worried about keeping it off for right now. I'll go back on eventually, but I'm still having some problems with this. Just trying to rule out one last variable.

I've tried flashing without my SD card (8gb class 6) and SIM card and was still having the same issues, but I'll give it a shot this time around and leave the SD card out for a week or so - provided I don't get problems first. I'll change my cabs over to exts in the mean time. Oh, and a last note, I've had problems before installing any cabs. Just seems like it's a defective device but I don't get why it's only going awry with this kitchen.

Edit: And I've been using the latest 6.5.x builds, I like the start button on the bottom. I've had different issues with each though, if I remember correctly. Download is almost done!

just a tip.

I run the vzw carrier and never have a problem. At least nothing serious.

I'm Sprint! lol I do use the Sprint carrier files. Maybe I'll bring it back to generic if this build doesn't work.

Can anyone help me with something simple I am sure, I want to generate a txt of my Included Packages with my build for posting change logs etc. This is probably already done and I just don't no where to look... I know You can look in the reg under OEM but not everything is listed there, I was wondering If I could get in a layout like Selections in the Kitchen.

Copy and Paste from buildlog.txt in main kitchen directory before you close the kitchen and it gets deleted, that's a nice clean text dump you can use.

Try the .erv file I attached with 1.6 Beta 2 Kitchen.

Note the file attached is NOT a zip. Just remove the .zip extension.

I use specific Sprint Carrier and never had a problem like you are having.

Just try it as a base line, don't change anything.
