Re: [ Kitchen ][ 2-8 ][ v1.51 ][ 23529 / 21891 / 21056 ] Calkulin's Visual WVGA Kitch

I just reuploaded ereader, doc reader, footprints packages with some reg edits to show doc reader by default. Let me know if something doesn't work. I tested and doc viewer shows up bt default now. I don't think anyone had any issues with footprints.

Enjoy!!

I am having issues with my whole VK but I'll get back to that...
Double check the YouTube codec against the codec from the VK version4 your downloading. It's got to be something corrupted with that OR your DShow Package OR perhaps one of the youtube files in ManilaEngine overwritting something in the youtube package.

Thank You, Where can I check the "YouTube codec against the codec from the VK"

Multimedia - YouTube 1.6.1911.3327.00
-voFltPD (v2.0.1822.2821) - 131K
Multimedia - YouTube 2.6.1922.4122.00 for Manila 2.x
-voFltPD (v2.6.1917.3024) - 231K
Multimedia - YouTube 2.6.2011.1727.00
-voFltPD (v2.6.1917.3024) - 227K
I attached the one from Calk's 1922 package just incase you slimmed down your VK and deleted it.

I would have probably had the same issues (if I could get a bootable build).
Try using the codec file from Calk's package... the file info says they are the same version but they are different sizes.

Anyone got anyother ideas what would cause RunCC to stall right after the device configure on first boot? I tried re-extracting and replacing the RunCC OEM, as well as trying both Sprint and Generic Carriers.

Hope you all don't mind me asking agian, but what are a few of the RunCC dependencies.
I Rebuilt my kitchen from scratch and it still won't load RunCC after 1st-boot-customizations.](*,)

Re: [ Kitchen ][ 2-8 ][ v1.51 ][ 23529 / 21891 / 21056 ] Calkulin's Visual WVGA Kitch

I've been cooking/flashing my brains out for the last 5 days or so.

I had a fairly stable ROM with 1.5 and 28233 but I could not resist some of the newer goodies coming along.

I tried the new 2012 stuff posted and it was a real mess (may be partially my fault). I noticed most of the "Options Folders" were empty. Like Transparent Curtain etc. Then I looked in 1.51 Kitchen and they are empty their too. It also had "Options" like Disable Flip Clock etc. I didn't want a disabled clock. So scratching head I deleted all the empty ones. After that there was only a few folders left like BG4All (which I normally have off), Manila Engine etc. So I added the Manila 2012 Engine etc. Named as Manila 2012 to keep them all unique and kept all my other normal "Manila Options" (White Clock, Transparent Slider etc.) Well, I ended up with no Clock and No slider. End of that experiment. I only wanted to play with the ereader stuff which I probably would never use in practice.

Then someone posted a new 28xxx build. Well I've had good luck with 28xxx builds. That looks safe. It all built fine but did really weird stuff. iGuidance would not run at all !! Even with Sense UI disabled. Sometimes when I tapped the phone button. It appeared the phone would go offline for moment then back on (That's what antenna Icon did anyway). I know this was a patched build because it had 28233 Voice Command in it.

So I'm back on 28233 and all seems good again. Except I seem to have the slow answer issue back again. But I have not completely tweaked it yet and shut off some things I normally shut off.

I also noticed that if you use Rapid Charge you get 1% Battery Meter. I swear the battery does worse with this. It may be psychological seeing the 1% steps though.

For grins I decided to try No D3D drivers to see what would happen and I figured I get the drivers that came with the build (possibly most stable) or that I don’t actually do anything that uses D3D drivers. So far it’s made no difference having nothing and everything seems ok.

I also believe some ROMs are complete builds and some are incomplete builds patched up with pieces from older builds. I think the complete builds are more stable.

OK, having several issues and being new to cooking have no idea how to fix:
1. x2 task manager - every time I click on it, it opens the notifications
2. Sense sms tab - doesn't clear the notification bubbles all the time
3. sensor lock - in the settings menu does nothing
4. S2U2 2.30 - iLock2 isn't signed?
5. bing - LBS driver isn't signed

Just received some info on the HTC HD Mini and it's running a custom Windows Mobile 6.6 build from HTC HQ, as you can tell from the image, they edited the start menu on the bottom to give more space to the software keys and reallocated the Start Function to the hardware Windows Button, leaks should trickle down the pipe soon :)

Thank you for you are the only one who even cared to post whether a stock build with the kitchen played with integrated youtube app, after many days of pulling my hair out and flashing like crazy trying everything Kitchen 1.1 - 1.5.1 I discovered my problem.

The issues were caused by using LZX compression. I have always built with this checked. So anyone else having issues with video playback uncheck this.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the default compression vs. LZX? Wondering If I am going to notice any difference other than My youtube app actually working?

Attn: All Calk's VK users, just received this message from Mr X say that I am using cracked Core Player software in my rom. Does anyone else build your rom with this player?

MOD EDIT: DO NOT Post PM's Publicly.

Please explain, this rom is from Calk's VK, the same everyone else is using. I have not cracked any software and added to this kitchen. Are you a Mod, if so, please tell Calk and give him the same warning. Also do the same for all the member's using the same VK. Question, do you use Calk's Kitchen and did you check it for the same. If it is indeed hack software, it will be removed from my rom. Please explain how you know that this is cracked software.
