What do you mean exactly?? Like take some elses ROM and modify it?? If you mean that then no. With this you can create your own ROM to your liking.

i believe you can also dump a shipped rom and add/subtract exts, oems, and sys files as needed w a visual kitchen, is that correct tmartin?

and i really wish it was possible to modify someone elses rom... so many good roms that I would love to tweak a bit to my liking. Wish there were more kitchens for the TP2 so we can frankenstein them for ourselves....

Yes that is corrected but only with a shipped ROM. If you dump a ROM built in the VK you can use things from the dump but not just rebuild it with extra stuff that you want. You also can't use modules, or files inside of modules, from a dump of a ROM built in VK.

It's actually pretty easy to tweak someone else's ROM if you learn how to create and/or edit cabs.

yeah cabs are okay, but it drives me nuts knowing there is an app installed i cant get rid of or have a problem updating it becuase it is cooked in. plus cabs use so much more space as compared to cooking in an app.

Anyone having issues with "PPP Connection Error 11" using the 1.4 kitchen?

I have flashed ROMs I built with the 1.4 kitchen 2 times and my VZW Data wouldn't work after the flash. I had to use the solution found elsewhere in the forums to fix this. Also may be due to the new 2.23WU radio. I had this radio installed both times I had this problem. I tried the VZW provisioning from the 1.3 kitchen and the 1.4 kitchen.

I'm on vzw, using 1.4 kitchen with 1.33 vzw provisioning and 2.23 radio (the one from the new vzw rom). When I flash (which is very often), I don't have any problem with calling or data, but if I do a clear memory (hard reset), I always have to *228.

update: 2.5 calendar is working great on 2.1 very nice upgrade!! Calk please consider including it in the next release!
