Re: HOW TO: flash a Rom or Radio on your TP2 from the SD card

For right now, I'm taking a breather. I tried about 3 different ROMS last night. Energy ROM went through and I got the update success msg, but it was stuck on that screen. When I press soft reset the damn thing goes back to the TP2 screen and is stuck on there. I don't know what else to do. I even got an sd card that I had from before, reformatted it to FAT32, I put just the RUU and the .nbh file and I get the same thing.

Are you moving two files or just the RUU_signed.nbh?

just those two files, the RUU file and the .nbh file. I extracted the ROM to the SD card, so both files end up being on there.

I've never flashed from sd, although I was just setting up an older sd card this morning for it, but from what I read, you only move the .nbh file, typically named RUU_signed.nbh into the root of the sd, and rename it RHODIMG.nbh. I didn't understand it to be two files, only that one.

"Step 2: extract the .nbh file out of said rom package (will usually be named RUU_SIGNED.nbh if the rom is packed in an exe use pocket rar to extract from your phone or 7zip/winrar from your pc)
Step 3: rename the .nbh file to RHODIMG.nbh"

hmmmm, hopefully someone a bit wiser can chime in and lend you a hand and clarify for me.... I was wondering about the other files packaged in the ROM myself, which is why I posted earlier about that. Does the entire package need to be in folder on the card or only the .nbh file needs to be on the card.

cool, I'm re-flashing it now with just the .nbh file on the sd card. The update was complete, update success. I soft reset it and bam, TP2 screen and nothing else.

Re: HOW TO: flash a Rom or Radio on your TP2 from the SD card

WTF... I just checked with someone here who knows his shit and does this all the time and he confirmed, you only need the .nbh file on the root, nothing else, and it needs to be named RHODIMG.nbh. Hopefully someone who knows what else you can try will chime in, sorry couldn't be of more assistance bro!

Talking Re: HOW TO: flash a Rom or Radio on your TP2 from the SD card

Lawd Thank You Jesus!!! I tried EnergyROM earlier and that didn't work, just tried MightyROM and it went to the TP2 Screen, I let it sit for a bit and now it is going to the Today Screen Upload and MightyROM upload. Gracias muchacho for pointing that out to me. I can breath a sigh of relief now.

Re: HOW TO: flash a Rom or Radio on your TP2 from the SD card

question though... do I have to keep that SD card I used to flash the ROM in the phone. Will the phone look for that .nbh file when it resets or can I just use my regular sd card?

Re: HOW TO: flash a Rom or Radio on your TP2 from the SD card

I believe you can use your regular SD card. I have always flashed from the computer and once I flash the ROM to the phone, I disconnect the computer, right? Once the file is flashed to the phone, it's there, until of course you flash again to another one.
