I had the same issue when I first tried to unlock my SIM. The RhodiumWUnlocker.exe has 3 parts, the first part is supposed to unlock the HSPL to allow it to be flashed. It failed numerous times.

It was only after I used this HSPL unlocker (http://hpcmonex.net/htc/rhodw/Rhodiu...R3_100HSPL.zip) that I was successful in progressing to steps 2 and 3, and reflashing the radio to complete my SIM unlock.

To leaderbuilder, if you continue to have difficulties in your phone's current state, it may be time to consider a Hard Reset of your TP2.

To the OP, thank you for this great app! I am able to successfully communicate on both AT&T and TMO's networks, data and all. One question, though... have you had the opportunity to test this unlocker on any of the WinMo 6.5 ROM's? I'm anxious to upgrade to the 6.5 ROM from Sprint when it drops, but not at expense of having my SIM relocked, or worse.

I had to use this HardPSL too. Same scenario as the above... after I used this hardSPL version, everything went smoothly. Thanks for the post^^^^!!!!

Also, as a previous user asked, is there an application that will allow you to easily switch from GSM to CDMA? I know that you can go into the phone settings, and change it but is there a simpler way? Thanks!

Same problem but different out come! Bought a new Touch Pro 2. Paid and used the RhodiumWUnlocker but the HardSPL part won't work. I found a newer version of just the HardSPL which worked perfect. When I went to reused RhodiumWunlocker, to run the Sim and Sercurity Unlocker, it keeps telling me I had to pay again. ($23 USD) Now I can flash ROMS but can't do a radio. Sent a ticket but no response. Will be a week 3/12/10.

that issue has been resolved, just redownload the unlocker.

Sorry if this has been asked before... I am on Sprint STOCK ROM (6.5) and it says under "Settings > SIM Security" or whatever that "Your device is SIM Unlocked". Sprint also said they are shipping them unlocked now. Do I still need your Unlocker? Sadly I don't have a SIM account to test with, I just wanted to unlock it for future ability. (Or resale value later on)

it's only sim unlocked for overseas gsm. to use gsm in the USA, you have to use this sim-unlocker.

Alright, I bit the bullet and I bought and ran this. My Phone says Security Unlocked when flashing, and everything appeared to run fine (no errors, even got the WU radio for Sprint TP2) yet it STILL does NOT see the AT&T SIM Card, and refuses to go into GSM mode, just like before I "SIM Unlocked" it.

To flash the WU radio "in GSM mode", I had to use the Sprint SIM, since, as I said, with the AT&T SIM installed, the device acts like there is no SIM at all.

So basically, I guess it worked, since WU radios flash without error now, but why does my AT&T SIM not even show up?

Edit: It is not the SIM because I just tested it in an AT&T phone and it worked fine.

To clarify, I have successfully (?) ran the SIM Unlocker, and with my AT&T SIM Card installed, the phone acts as if there is no SIM installed at all.

Can anyone confirm that a pre-paid european SIM works without the SIM unlock? I'll be heading to Prague this summer, would be great if I could just pop a prepaid into my TP2.

This has been asked a couple of times and I read the whole thread and I can not see an answer. Im on SPRINT - TP 2 using the Energy ROM and My understanding is that the Sprint phone is SIM unlocked and you only need this software to enable the different radios used in the USA but there no answer about Radios used in EUROPE or other places.

I'm planning to take a trip to Germany next month and I would like to know if someone could confirm that a Local European SIM card would work on the SPRINT tp2 which currently has a custom rom or do I need to use this security unlocker and install a custom radio?

About 2 weeks ago I emailed support to get a SIM unlock for my replacement device and just ONE DAY LATER they asked me to pay a replacement SIM unlock fee. Fine. I paid. Then here goes the two week wait in which I still haven't got the unlocker. I've already came back from my trip, which I really needed the SIM unlock. Do they only reply fast (or at all) to tickets that will get cash in their pockets = =?
Sorry I don't mean to flame them but this is extremely frustrating considering i PAID (not DONATE, since it sure was a big topic back then). Anyhow, has anyone been using their ticketing support and actually got a reply recently?
