Hi all,
i have gone through the whole process with my sprint tp2 without a single problem and switched to AT&T (don't ask why) and all is well (for two months now) except the phone never seems to be on a 3G network. It's always edge and the internet, while working, is slow.
Is there a setting somewhere that I should be looking at?
I was able to get the phone onto AT&T with "unlimited internet" but I'm wondering if that is the reason that it's edge only...
I could really use some help as I can't really go to AT&T with the question.

you will only get edge in north america, different frequencies, 3g in the rest of the world.

We get 3G on the iphones no problem on AT&T... just not on the SIM unlocked TP2.

different frequencies...t-mobile and at$t are both gsm, you can unlock a cryphone for t-mo, but you'll only get edge...if you want 3g, use wi-fi.

i think i'm not following.
Do you mean the TP2 can't do it or that all AT&T phones are Edge only?

Just to clarify I did the whole process to get the TP2 on GSM etc.
I would assume I'm on the "right frequency now" to get 3G?

i'm assuming you have a sprint tp2....it's sim-locked for north america, but you can go to another continent and just pop in a sim card and go. the sprint tp2 has the 3g bands that the rest of the world uses, just not the ones used by at$t or t-mobile. so, you can jailbreak a cryphone to work on t-mobile, but you will only get edge because even t-mo and at$t use different gsm bands.
