UPDATE: Yes it does still work. I paid ~$6.50 and then I was able to unlock the phone.

Apologies if I'm dredging but I thought it best to ask this here.


I have two HTC Touch Pro 2 CDMA phones on Sprint, one of which is my daily driver. I like the phone. And I'm all for paying for HardSPL.


Is HardSPL still supported for this device?


Will the latest version of HardSPL run correctly on a laptop running Windows 8.1 64-Bit?


Any help greatly appreciated!

Is there anyone who has an answer for this? Since the phone is my active phone I'd rather waive my "all in" approach for concerns of bricking it.

I doubt anyone's tried it on Win 8.1 yet. If you're paranoid, run it in Win7 compatibility mode or something.

Thanks for the reply. I've had some things going on and haven't been able to keep up with Wiindows so I wasn't aware of 8.1's Win7 mode. I really appreciate the help! I will give it a shot then report my findings.

Okay, after a lot of fiddling I've unlocked a CDMA TP2 on Win 8.1 64-Bit. I had to use a "modified" version of HSPL found at XDA. Apologies for stepping on the creators work but I still have not had success with the final version of HSPL posted here.
I have thanked the first three posts here but would still like to thank the creators of HSPL as they really did the work, all I did was try like hell to get it going on Win 8.1 64-Bit which probably is no big deal. I may try the official file later, after all If It Ain't Broke Fix It 'Til It Is.


If anyone is interested I'll gladly type up the method I used to make this happen, otherwise I'll get back to it later. It would be nice to contribute.
