Yeah, I have a TP2. Sorry about that. The phone is successfully synced with the computer. It just hangs on the progress bar at 0%.

try unchecking the box under "Activesync" in usb to pc settings on the phone then start over.

I tried that after you posted it, it didn't work. Is there another way of relocking the phone? I have MightyROM on it.

It tells me that there's something wrong after about freezing up for 15 mins or so.

Uhhh, no. I thought I had to relock the phone first for some stupid reason. That would answer why nothings workin, LOL. I'll try to flash the Stock ROM and THEN relock and see what happens. Thanks!

Okay, so I flashed the Official Stock Sprint ROM and tried to relock...to no avail. It's still hanging at 0% on the progress meter. Any ideas? Thanks.

put your phone in bootloader mode and tell me what your spl version is.

i would flash it again via activesync on the computer and it should change it to the proper spl. also, don't put the phone into bootloader mode. let the ruu do it.

no, i meant flash the rom again. Official stock roms have the spl built in, so when you flash the stock rom, it's suppose to flash the spl also.

Will upgrading to the new Sprint oem 6.5 make any difference as far as the unlocker ?

I've never unlocked my TP2 but may want to someday, just want to make sure it will still be possible if I upgrade to the oem 6.5 ?

I need some help unlocking my Sprint TP2 because I don't know what else to try.

I tried using RhodiumWUnlocker.exe (purchased), clicked Flash Hard-SPL, the phone installs enableRapi.cab without a problem, but then I get the message "Please make sure the radio on the phone is turned on and device is properly synced; Please retry or try resetting the phone"

What does it mean when it says "make sure the radio on the phone is turned on"?

The phone has a good signal, the data connection is turn on (and working), it is synced to the PC, Firewall off, have admin rights, I'm able to flash the phone with the latest RUU provided by HTC/Sprint WM 6.5 without a problem. I tried it on both WinXP x32 and Win7 x64.

dude...the rhodiumWUnlocker is not for flashing roms. It's for sim unlocking your phone.

The hspl unlocker is free. That is what you want to use to unlock your phone so that you can flash custom roms. Read the first 2 posts thoroughly.

I keep getting "Windows cannon access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access this item" error. What am i doing wrong?

i have a mac. so how can i get this to work for it. i have htc tp2 and i want to get tf3d for it but cant seem to figure it out... help

tf3d comes on the phone, and it's on by default so i'm not sure what you mean by that.

You have to use a windows machine to use this program. You can try using a mac using bootcamp and windows, but others have reported that it doesn't work.

Do you have a virus protector? I had AVG and it gave me all types of problems. So I uninstalled it. And just reinstalled after I was finished.

DUH!!!! ](*,) My mistake, now to crawl under my rock and cry. :disgust: Doesn't Mac's have the ability to run windows program in a seperate window? :scratch: I guess now, I will now take my apple killer and go home!! :evil4:

Tried to unlock a friend’s phone last night without success, first we got a 246 error. Then after pulling the battery and resetting the phone we were able to get to the percentage screen but it never moved from 0%. Also tried running SSPL-Manual-RhodiumW from page 1 note 3... All this did was lock the phone. Anyone have an idea?

have you unlocked a tp2 before on the same computer or internet connection? The unlocker only alows 1 free use per customer.

Have you tried all the troubleshooting steps in post 1 and 2.

Did you turnoff antivirus and firewall like suggested.

read post 1 and 2 again THOROUGHLY

I had a quick question. Once a phone is unlocked, I shouldn;t have to redo the unlocking process every time I want to flash, do I?

From what I gather, HSPL-UNLOCKER altersTP2 bootloaders in order to allow it to take non-signed/approved roms. So a new Rom flash should leave the phone unlocked.

Just looking for confirmation in my quest to be careful.

that is correct. flashing roms will not relock it. only the relocker in the second post can relock it.
