i forgot to suggest something else. when the prompt comes up on the phone, did you try using the arrow keys or the enter key on the slide out keyboard?

Yep tried that it let's me get to the file explorer and open that up and arrow down to the cab and select it, but it won't let me do it when the popup comes up to select yes.

I have a sprint touch pro 2 which I am trying to unlock. I have used two different computers windows xp and windows 7 and have tried both manual and auto. As soon as I click next to upgrade it the phone shows a black screen and disconnects from the computer. the bar goes from 0 to 100 and the upgrade fails.

A few times it restarts its self but then the activesync does not restart until i manually unplug and replug the phone.

Any solutions?

activesync is not suppose to restart. did you look at the bootloader screen to see the spl version. if it went to 100, then it probably worked.

can someone help please when i try to openthe hardspl i get a message that says. windows cannot access the specified device,path, or file. you may not have the appropriate permission to access the item

if the "run as administrator" doesn't work, read the posts on page 150 of this thread. I posted fix there.
