so a redio cab is used for switchin carriers with tha same phone?

i reported my TP2 stolen and they going to send me another 1 n 2-3 days,,but i found it now, but now that my new TP2 is on its way can i still have the 1 that i reported stolen and made a claim against turned back on after tha claim ? thinking of giving it to my girl...thanks for yr help

What? Are you seriously asking that? In what way is that not stealing?

Just call US Cellular and tell them that you found your phone and ask them what they want you to do. My guess is that they'll send you a box to ship it back to them. You can't use it, since it's been reported as stolen. Nobody will be able to activate it, so you can't sell it either. I suppose if you want to keep it as a PDA and not use it as a phone it would work.

no such thing as a radio cab. the radio has to be flashed like a rom. changing the radio does not change carrier.

so what is a RADIO ? i mean i understand what a ROM is diff custom versions of say "WM6.5" .
and "Provisions" is a .cab with yr carrier's MMS settings . and HSPL to unlock yr phone..and yes i have read n read about Radio's and still nothing.

OK the radio it the software that allows the device to communicate with the towers; in other words it's the actual "phone." Each radio has subtle differences in how it communicates/connects. So you'll get a better signal with some, and with others you'll have better battery life; sometimes you'll have faster data connection. It really depends on your location as well as the radio.

thank u,,that was what i was wanting to know.. when my new TP2 gets here this is what i pick out to Flash tha custom ROM.. would u b look at it and see if there is something else that i need or if this is all i need....TP2 CDMA WM6.5 US CELLULAR..

1) RhodiumW-HardSPL_V1_10R3_100HSPL
2)Merdins_Windows_Phone_Innovation_v1.5_01-18-2010m2.5(2)..i think this ROM includes Provisions for my carrier.
3)imnuts USC ArcSoft MMS 5.2.12.45 20100204.cab..

if tha ROM includes my carrier Provisions then will i still need #3 ?

if you are going with manila 2.5, definitely not that rom. I would go with a much more popular rom to start out with. One that is known to be very solid. And if you don't like a rom, then it's simple to just flash a different one. Carrier provisioning does not install Arcsoft, so yea, you'll need #3, unless the chef specifically says otherwise on the first page of his thread.
